Five-Minute Confidence Reset

For right before the thing that's making you doubt yourself.

  1. 1Stand tall, shoulders back, feet planted — your posture talks to your nervous system before your thoughts do.
  2. 2Name one specific thing you've actually done before that proves you can do hard things. Be specific, not general.
  3. 3Say the next sentence out loud, even quietly: "I don't have to feel ready. I just have to start."
  4. 4Take three slow breaths, exhaling longer than you inhale.
  5. 5Walk into the thing before the feeling of readiness fully arrives — it usually catches up once you're moving.
